When you build a rock-garden, take care of following:

The rock-garden can be very nice and varied part of our garden which can give a spectacular view all year. On the other hand it is a great entertainment and a real sight for guests. If you want a rock-garden first thing you have to do to find a sunny place in the garden.
It's advantageous if the ground is sloping, hilly and varied which can make the following works easier. We have to think about watering the rock-garden sometimes in our climate.

You have to pay attention when you choose stones and rocks. The KERADENKO rock-catalogue will help you about it. The stones have to be as large as possible. Hence the name: rock-garden.
Many people think that they can make a nice rock-garden from a few pebbles.
IT`S A WRONG CONCEPTION!

We plant drought-resisted and short plants in our rock-garden on the basis of a plan. These are mostly shrubs, dwarf pines, perennial plants, grasses, flowers which in the course of time overgrow the ground among the rocks. We plant the plants out one by one or in small groups.
We have to take care that the different plants don't come near to each other to avoid that the rock-garden become confused or kitsch.

One way to appear the stones is to make wall that way we fill in the space among the stones with ground and we plant the plants there. We have a wide variety of plants but it`s strongly recommended to put among them sempervivium, wolf's milk, thyme, Michaelmas daisy, lavender, rosemary.
